20th Annual Birmingham Pride Parade

Birmingham, United Kingdom. 27th May 2017.  Armed police patrol the streets amid hightened security in the wake of the Manchester bombing as thousands of members of the LGBTQ community gathered today for the Birmingham Pride parade. This year is the 20th The Birmingham Pride parade marking the  50th anniversary of the decriminalization of homosexuality. Birmingham Pride is an annual festival for the LGBTQ community usually taking place over the Spring Bank Holiday.  The event begins with a parade from Victoria Square in the city centre to the Gay Village in Hurst Street.
