Charity Print Sale for Muhammed's Hope

"Prints purchased from this collection will help raise money for Muhammed's Hope, a not-for-profit organisation founded by Jim Wood in April 2016."

The charity aims to provide medical care and prosthetics to deprived Syrian children wounded during the war in Syria.

An 8 year old Syrian boy, Muhammed, who is a double amputee is the inspiration for Muhammed's Hope. He lost both of his legs as a result of a rocket attack that took the lives of his mother, younger brother and other members of his family. Presently the charity is raising funds for medical care and prosthetics for Muhammed.

100% of sales from prints in the collection below goes directly to the charity.

These prints blend images taken in Leominster, Herefordshire; New York and Boston, Massachusetts, USA; and Upton Upon Severn, Worcestershire, UK, and Istanbul, Turkey.

Fundraising for Muhammed and Muhammed's Hope.

As you may be aware, last year I travelled to Turkey and met members of the Syrian community. Their plight, and Muhammed's story is what has inspired me to start fundraising to do what I can to help.

Muhammed is one of the Syrians I met last year, he is 8 years old and is a double amputee after loosing his legs in a rocket attack in 2012. You can find out more on my blog muhammedshope.com

To get the ball rolling I have set up a crowdfunding page to start to raise the funds required to help Muhammed access medical care and a new pair of prosthetic legs. You can check it out by clicking here

ONE of the country's favourite locomotives passed through Herefordshire today.

The Flying Scotsman, was originally built in Doncaster for the London and North Eastern Railway (LNER) in 1923
.
The locomotive that was designed by Sir Nigel Gresley as part of the A1 class returned to regular service earlier this year when huge crowds followed its journey from London to York in February.

Crowds gathered at Leominster railway station to watch it passing through.
